The last 3 years have signified 1 thing, the first guy declares his participation in the Royal Rumble match turns out to be the winner. I mean why should we people waste our time watching such an event where the outcome is so damn predictable.

Why was Daniel Bryan brought back for the Royal Rumble?
Usually a returning face features in the last 4 of the rumble at the very least. However daniel bryan was eliminated before entrant 17 entered . He spent a grand total of 10 minutes in the rumble match. I feel he was brought back just so that the fans couldn't pan the event even before it started as if Bryan wasn't a part of the match. Reigns would've been the clear pre-match favourite. Daniel Bryan was in the Rumble as the WWE didn't have enough confidence in the match if it didn't feature a mega star who is the ultimate fan favourite and had headlined Wrestlemania.
Why does the WWE like guys who have just 3 or 4 power moves and no wrestling skills whatsoever ??
It was the same with John Cena 10 years back, but atleast at that time there was no one else who was as popular with the fans as he was and Cena did have good mic skills as he was portraying a thug rapper gimmick . Reigns was portrayed very well after he retunrned from injury as a tough guy, an individual of few words , but his "Jack and the beanstalk" and "two front teeth" promos(what has WWE descended too from the days where stone cold would flash his middle finger in the ring to The Rock trash talking his rivals to Jericho's verbal insults of Stephanie Mcmahon to jack and the beanstalk. seriously??? ) to the Big Show of all people was just so childish and that alienated his fan base so much so that the fans were actually cheering "WE WANT RUSEV" when Rusev and Reigns were the final 2 competitiors left in the ring.
The WWE even goofed up by ringing the bell to signal the end of the match when there were still 2 participants left . A refree was clearly seen signalling to Rusev to get back in thering once the Rock slid out to attack Big Show (why wasn't the Rusev-Rock feud continued . Reigns tossing Rusev over the top rope showed that Rusev can be man handled however eliminating Rusev while he attacked the Rock would've
A. Shown that he wasn't aware that he was being stalked.
B. Increased his heel image as he would have been attacking The Rock
C.Made Roman Reigns look good for saving The Rock)
Following Daniel Bryan's elimination the fans began rooting for Ambrose , Ziggler and Mizdow. The character of Mizdow was dealt with appropriately as he was thrown out within half a minute thus creating frictikn between him and his tag team partner The Miz who ordered him to hand over his spot in the match as " people don't pay to see stunt doubles ."
Anti-authority figures Ziggler and Ambrose were hurled out by Authority members Kane and Show which furthers their feud with The Authority . I assume these 2 along with Ryback will be used as supporting characters to thwart any attempts made by the Authirity to thwart Roman Reigns over the next 2 months until Wretlemania 31 with Sting dropping in if all 4 of them are at a severe disadvantage.
The 3 surprise entrants were a welcome sight as Bubba Ray Dudley represented my pre match prediction of an ECW Original entry in the match as the event was being held in Philadelphia (a strong hold of the now defunct organisation ECW) . The Boogeyman provided fans a creepy vs creepy as he took on Bray Wyatt. Diamind Dallas Page was well the one comic relief moment as he came and went .
Another teased feud could between Kofi Kingston and Adam Rose as The Rosebuds saved Kofi from elimination but not Adam Rose who was tossed out instants later. This opens up the New Day vs Cesaro and Tyson Kidd feud as despite beitng a 3 man team the new day always has had Xavier Woods playing the role of a cheerleader. Now Woods can replacr Kofi in the tag team and Kofi can take on Rose. This year no raw talent from the NXT roster was featured which was a disappointment . Possibly this was due to Mr.Mcmahon having issues wih the NXT as over the past few months the development centre show(NXT) has been getting better reviews than WWEs flagship show of Monday Night Raw.
It was amazing to see the Philly crowd totally take over the match once Bryan was eliminated. This lets the management and the creative team know that the fans are not buying into the bullshit they are being forced to sit through week in and week out. They were even heard chanting "bullshit" "bullshit" "bullshit" "bullshit" when the final four of Kane, Big Show and Roman Reigns were in the ring.t was amazing to see the Philly crowd totally take over the match once Bryan was eliminated.
As The Rock came down and saved his cousin Reigns from a post match assault by Kane and Big Show he attempted to rescue the show as he raised Reigns hand in victory amidst a chorus of boos and clear thumbs downs from the fans who were ringside. He even had a quizzical eyebrow raise while doing so.
Just a year back the reaction was similar when Batista win elast eliminatimg Reigns. However this time Reigns won but was partially victim of the crowd raction to the treatment of Daniel Bryan and partially because nobody wanted to see any of the remaining 4 competitiors go up against Paul Heyman in a verbal battle(WWE WORLD CHAMPION Brock Lesnar's advocate) as Rusev only knows the word CRUSH in english . Kane and Big show are 40+ years old and Reigns as mentioned above (the childish promos).
We can't change anything now . As true fans we can hope that some worthy contendor like Bryan will win a match at the next PPV Fast Lane and fast track themsleves to the championship match at WM 31. Even if that doesn't materialize a host of other possible storylines have opened up which makes the Road to Wrestlemania 31 most eagerly awaited.
